"Developmentally delayed"

That's a fun phrase. So are "warning signs," "moderate PDD," "ASD signs," "therapy," "evaluations," and all that jazz. Technically my youngest is very delayed in communication and slightly in physical things plus extreme frustration over the tiniest things. On the checklists for ASD and PDD she scores enough warning signs to warrant a definite closer look. Dh and I are going to be working on her verbal skills (her non-existent verbal skills) until her appt next month to see if she just needs more help with that, more attention or maybe speech therapy, or if there is something underlying. Fuuuuuuun times, I tell you what. But she loves people and gives kisses and stuff so I don't think it would be something like autism.
